Parkway Hotel Cwmbran Wedding

Parkway Hotel Cwmbran Wedding

The beautiful wedding of Angharad and Andrew was in effect the last of our Winter weddings for this year before Spring. It was late in February and the Parkway Hotel and Spa in Cwmbran was already showing early signs of the change of seasons with some beautiful early flowers on display around the grounds.

We have photographed at this South Wales Wedding Venue before but this Parkway Hotel Cwmbran Wedding was a little different for us in that their wedding breakfast was held in the beautiful Hotel Restaurant. This room is stunning, almost Italian in style with plenty of light flooding in from the skylights above.

Wedding photographers South Wales work at many great venues around the area and when these venues themselves offer a variety of choices with regards to rooms and facilities then this all adds up to a great number of options for couples. Previous weddings at The Parkway Hotel we have photographed have involved ceremonies and receptions in some of the very large suites available within the venue. The restaurant however is quite different and unique. Considerations for couples are that the restaurant is really for a smaller more intimate wedding and often the timings need to be arranged so that the hotel can then re open the restaurant to the public after the wedding breakfast has completed. This isn’t a problem but something that should be considered at the planning stage.

Personally the restaurant is my favourite location within the hotel for me to photograph a wedding reception and speeches. For the evening party, as the numbers of guests swelled we all moved to one of the larger rooms which are lovely with stylish chandeliers hanging down like icicles from the high ceilings.

It was a lovely relaxed wedding and between the speeches and the evening party everyone gathered around the TV in the lobby to watch Wales play France in the 6 Nations. A victory for Wales was a welcome result and everyone celebrated. Angharad and Andrew were quite a quiet and shy couple. Communication skills are extremely important for a South Wales Wedding Photographer. People are all very different and being able to relate to the many different personalities you encounter in your role as a wedding photographer is such an important aspect of the job. I loved working for this lovely couple and sharing their wedding day was a real privilege.

I have selected a few images from the day below and wish them both the very best for the future. I would love to hear from you if you are getting married.
