After the ceremony and Groups
After the ceremony has taken place there is usually a period of time where everyone wants to congratulate the newly married couple. This is a great time for some more reportage style images.
The group shots follow. The groups are often a hot topic prior to the wedding, some couples wish to dispense with group shots all together and others want lots and lots of set groups.
If the Bride and Groom are happy to provide me with a list of the groups they would like, including the names and title of the people in the groups, then that is great.
For instance - David Jones (Grooms cousin) or something like that.
This information is excellent for making the groups more personable, it allows me to interact with everyone and then organising the groups is often much easier.
Of course I have my own list of group images. Quite often the Bride and Groom are quite happy for me to use my list for their groups.
My formula for successful groups is this. Keep it simple, don't over pose people, try to use a selection of different backgrounds within the close proximity, make the groups relaxed and above all keep it light hearted and fun.
I always discuss in great detail, every step of the wedding day with my customers. It is important to give you the day that you want. After all, it is foremost, all about you!
I hope you enjoy the images.
